IT’S A GREEN FLAG FOR THE TENTH YEAR IN A ROW!

Christchurch Park and Ipswich Arboretum has just been awarded the national Green Flag Award for the tenth year in a row.

David Miller, the Chairman of the Friends of Christchurch Park said:

“This award is made by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy to recognise and reward the best parks and green spaces in the country.”

“We are so fortunate to have a very good number of wonderful parks and open spaces in Ipswich. For Christchurch Park and Ipswich Arboretum to win this prestigious national award ten years in a row is an incredible achievement.”

“I would like to thank everyone who has helped us achieve this remarkable landmark. We have a fabulous team of staff led by our Park Manager Nigel, plus Friends group members, volunteers and many local residents who are all passionate about our Park and Arboretum. Whether you have sponsored a tree or picked up a piece of litter you have all helped us to win this award so thank you all so much.”

“My Committee has a number of exciting projects we are currently working on to support Nigel and his team to improve the visitor experience and make this place even more special.”

“We would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate our close friends at Holywells who are today celebrating a magnificent seventh green flag.”
