Outdoor classroom destroyed by fire

The Friends of Christchurch Park regret to report that the Outdoor Classroom in the orchard was completely destroyed by fire last night. David Miller, Chairman of the Friends of Christchurch Park said “This valuable educational resource was built in 2015 by craftsman Richard King using traditional early medieval methods and was funded by the Papworth Trust and Friends of Christchurch Park. We are shocked to hear this just a few days after the Park won its tenth consecutive Green Flag Award. We suspect this to be an act of arson and are liaising with the appropriate authorities.”
