Tennis Courts

There are five hard-court tennis courts available for use every day of the year.

Since 2009, in an effort to promote greater use and fitness, the courts have been free to use. The courts were completely renewed in 2011 courtesy of a £142,500 grant from the Lawn Tennis Association and Sport England. There are plans to develop the Ark facility nearby as a specialist tennis facility.

Some of the courts are being used in a co-operative scheme between Ipswich Borough Council and Ipswich Sports Club to create “Tennis in the Park”. Free and accessible tennis training is available for people of all skills, as well as competitions for all ages. For more information, visit: www.ipswichparktennis.co.uk
