Wet Meadow & Butterfly Garden

Fed by a natural spring, the wet meadow provides an environment for a wide range of moisture-loving plants.

In the spring, it provides a marvellous display of Snake’s Head Fritillaries (Fritillaria Meleagris), perhaps Britain’s most bizarre native wild-flower.

The Butterfly Garden was developed through 2011 with sponsorship and volunteer labour from the Friends of Christchurch Park.
